I think I see what you are saying, you want to put the RF weapons in there but do not want them usable. What you are saying will work but I think someone figured out how to put entities in multi but as brushes. I think it is possible to do it without the v3d files I just don't know how. This would work good only if it was a SP map... Except it's not really new and doesn't permit to add a infinity of brushes. The limit is just higher. As for getting better mappers. Globally i can't say the released map are globally improving (neither are they much played).
