you will have to get into the properties 1 way or another..
Right Click - Properties
Ctrl + P
Cutscenes have a habit of crashing while trying to do so, However just keep trying and im sure you will get it.
Hiding your objects will help alot.. Less RED has to render and rebuild your map a few times, and calculate lighting or just expirement with what works for you... i also found that building a brush helps the properties open.. or having more than 1 cutscene event.. all sorts of things.. |

The easiest method is to put the cutscene event in, then look at it in free view. save your map. Try opening properties, if it crashes reload the save you made, then:
1. DONT MOVE THE CAMERA
2. Click on the event in Free view
3. Open Properties
I found that if you dont move the camera the Window will open all the time (or at least in my expierence) |

If none of the above work, you will have to try other things like, hiding as much of the level as you can, or in Freeview, move the camera so it is looking out of the level. Alsorts of things are supposed to help, your best bet for cutscenes, is to pop along to Red Tech, or ask our resident cutscene Experts:

CENSORED cutscenes dialogue. I had my fun with it on Lego.
Experience and patience is the golden key to get them working. lol
The bigger and more complex your map gets, the harder it'll b to create cutscenes, so you should create them at the very start, always.
But that doesnt mean that cutscenes work best in empty maps, though
crash - launch - load - click - crash - launch - load - click - crash - launch - load - click - crash - launch - load - click - crash - launch - load - click
and again and again. Just wait, it'll work.
- crash - launch - load - click - crash - launch - load - click - crash - launch - load - click.... yaaaay! (leave the cutscene dialogue open as long as possible. Dont close when u test the map for example) |

lol thats true but i finally got it working, what i do is go to it thru a trigger that is linked to it, works 95% of the time, so now i need a run down of how to use cutscenes and how to work them |

Tsk tsk tsk... Kiliad to the rescue again lol.
Well maybe not
Anyway... to get into cutscene properties first time every time, just place a different event such as the Alarm_Siren from the same menu the cutscene is in. Then check the properties of that event, then in the Event Type pulldown menu, select Cutscene and hey presto! Properties are open. Once its been open that first time it seems work every time you try to get into properties the normal way but I have not tested it extensively. You will have to get all your cutscenes done in one session however, because once you've saved and reloaded your map, the properties cause RED to crash again. |

I actually have a map with around 8 different cutscenes.. and every single time i open the cutscene properties on that map, It works perfectly everytime and doesn't crash.
It might pay for me to study the map perhaps and figure out why it works so well |

Wasn't there a fix if you put the cameras in a group then the properties would work. |
