CTF Rail
2 bases with a center battleground and a single underground tunnel with pockets to hind in or take cover in while you go down the hallway. I high poly level with pipes and high tech upper level with run down under level.
Lots of rail guns and ammo
Batons and packs maybe some geo that could allow you to mess the enemy base up or make your base more accessible and useful.
Maybe simulate some fogy cloud mist flowing across the ground
Have an in wall-Rail-sniper spot and geo to get to it (1 for each base)
Maybe allow you to geo under a mettle grate and hide down there in the pips and rail people (separate from the under ground tunnel)
I think I might run with this idea and do it.. |

Well i don't have RED on this computer, although I think I remember.
Right click anywhere and go to level properties, and theres something about ambience and such. Anyway, it's in level properties, you should be able to find it |

Go into level properties and adjust the near and far clip-planes... that's your fog. You can also adjust the colour.
As far as I can see, the near clip plane is the distance away from the player at which point the fog will start to have an effect, the far clip plane is the maximum distance you'll be able to see before the fog totally obscures everything...
If you're using fog, unless it is extremely thin, hardly noticeable fog, then do not use a skybox. |

I have heard that some people can get gas regions to work but I haven't seen any examples of it myself.
You can do ground level mist by using a particle emitter but and making it shoot them out in a plane rather than in a sphere.
You have to be careful though because there is a limit to how many particles can be displayed. What I have done is to make the particles big, slow moving and given them a long life span. You can do a rapid burst of particles to fill up an area when a player first joins the map and then turn the particle emitter off. The particles will then wander about across the ground in a thick layer. Its not perfect however, and different players may see a different effect depending on their GFX card. |
