You need to look at the router and see the name brand and model number. Telling what you said only tells me that you have a router. There are many companies that make routers. You do not need to do it through the admin... just any PC that is hooked up to the router. the default is 192.168.0.1 with username: Admin and password: (blank password) try that, if it doesnt work, tell us.
