I'd thought I'd remind you all of the guidelines for reviews. Too many people haven't been following the guildlines that are there when you submit. So I'll post them up here so the reviews system is used as it should be.
It doesn't need to be a fantastic piece of jounralism, or an essay. It doesn't even need to be positive. It just needs to be a few of these things:
Make it clear.
"dis sux!!!" and "cnt get dis 2 werk!!!" don't really count as reviews, and don't make much sense anyway. One or two words or a few emoticons does not count as a review. Just a sentance or two in plain English is enough.
Make it clean.
Even if a mod is ****ing good, don't say it. This is an all-ages site.
Reviews are there to give feedback, nothing more.
If you have any questions about a mod or can't get it to work, post it in the forums or contact the author directly. Don't use the reviews system as a shoutbox.
If it is good or bad, say why.
If a mod is "Excellent!", just give a few words about why it is. If it has a major flaw, then say how it could be made better. The reviews sysem is there to give constructive feedback to the authors so they know what they've done well and what to do better next time.
Nobody likes spammers.
Every review submitted is manually verified before it gets posted, so trying to spam a page is useless because it will just be denied, simple as that.
It's not hard to follow these simple guides, and it just makes life easier for everyone. |
