i can't update my verison of rf..it says i am missing " patch library " cannn anyone help me with this? or knows how i can fix it |

how will that website help me?? what do i do when i get on there..i cant update my verison of red faction.......

Hey calm down, if you are using the update feature on RF then don't bother, it doesn't work. Instead follow this link and download the Version 1.2 patch from here and install it manually:
http://redfaction.levels4you.com/downloads.l4y?review=1619&cat=108
If the problem persists or you are trying this already, then simply reinstall RF and try again.  |

it works for me... i updated my RF about 2 weeks ago becase i had reformated my computer...  |

hmmm...
uninstall RF, and install it to C:\games\RedFaction
thats the problem, thats all the RF updater looks for, there may be a way to make it search other directiorys... but im not sure.. |

Yes you can patch it from another directory (mine is D:\Games\RedFaction)
And btw in the world of installers it is not case sensative ... as far as they are concerned it is the default directory |

No, it should be C:\Games\Red Faction... the default install directory |

Actually my furry friend the default directory is this one:
C:\games\RedFaction
There is no space between the word Red and Faction but nice try.  -_-_
BTW Slickone that is probably the reason why you are having this problem unless, you accidentally typed the wrong directory in. |

Yep blame my new keyboard ... putting an a where it shouldnt be sheesh
And yes sorry i misread ... i thought he had it installed to C:\games\REDFACTION and your post about reinstalling it made me think that you referring to the caps
ANYway, it doesnt matter where its installed ... you will still be able to update it to 1.2 (i did 2 days ago anyway) |

just re-install and its gotta go in the drive C:\games\RedFaction or it wont work at all for making mods and stuff |
