I guess you are a cat person too...
My first cat was 3 years old when my dads rot killed it. you can guess what happened to the dog too
i killed him myself too because I loved that cat. |

I'm sorry for yah Pred, I lost one of my two cats earlier this year that one also was just a kitten
It was one of the must fun and playfull cats we have ever had.
But this is what you kinda get when you live next to a busy street.
I hope for yah you can put yourself over it Pred!
but i know it sucks when one of your cats die. |

Even tho cats play hard to get and typically have an aloof personality I still like 'em.
Pred hang in there and keep in mind the memory of your wonderous and furry friend.
I agree with mad_ferrit vengence is in order if you can get away with it. I would recommend removing the valve stems on all four tires of the offender's vehicle. |
I have suffered in real life for the past couple years, now its your turn! |

why blame the driver of the car? what was the kitten doing in a place that has vehicular traffic anyway? who was minding the kitten at the time? I would be looking to lay blame in that direction, the car driver probably didnt even see the kitten, and feels bad enough anyway. |

persoanly im just learning to drive (well ive been driving for about 13 hours all up) and one of the first things i learnt was not to swirve for an animal (unless its BIG) ... what if there had been a little girl just off the road?, you would rather her dead then your cat?. To me the driver did the right thing ... unless of course he purposly speed up/slowed down/swirved to hit the cat. |

Are you saying if you see a cat, go for it?
You can't say he did the right thing without knowing the circumstances first. If the street was empty except for the car and the cat, then, he could have stopped, or swirved or whatever.
ALSO - even if the cat was unnavoidable, it is still coutesy to inform people about it, instead of just doing the old hit 'n run. |

Its one of those things that happens, animals aren't incredibly bright and no matter how cute or cuddly they are it doesn't spare their lives.
im actually getting used to my families cats dying.
ive seen cats hit ...
ive seen a cat killed by a pack of dogs ...
ive seen a cat killed by another cat ...
ive had cats just dissapear (possibly catnapping, possibly they died) ...
Ive even hit one of my own cats (on accident of course)...
I guess what im saying is even if the driver did (unlikely)or didn't mean to hit you cat, you will have to get over it, death is part of life.

Hey, i know people do speed up and swerve for cats and other small furry mammals (ive got freinds who trap in the fall ) |

There,s a little shrub forest in front of my house. The kitten was just out for a poopie. And ellioo your right the street was empty.He/She had no reason to run over my kitten |

No im saying its in the drivers best interest not to endanger the surroundings which he would do if he swirves, there may not have been anyone around this time but in similar situations elsewhere there may of been.
And i said unless meaning otherwise or contrary to my previous statment ... meaning that if he did intentionally hit the cat where he could of avoided it then he is in the wrong.
but i do agree that the driver should have stopped and informed the owners, but since it was a kitten he may not have even noticed running over it. |

Swerving to avoid an animal is technically against the highway code here in the UK. If something runs out in front of your car during the driving test and you do anything other than carry on driving you'll fail the test. Cats are not deemed worthy enough to possibly cause a bigger accident if you loose control of the vehicle or dont see something in time to judge where to swerve etc.
That said, most people will attempt to avoid harming another creature. Its in most peoples instinct to avoid hitting something else, regardless of what it is. Its one of the things you have to do to pass your test (and hope it doesn't happen) and then promptly ignore once you've got the license in your hands.
Sorry for the loss, I reckon cats can be the best pets you can get. |
