I will be doing a remake which should be really really good. ill be redoing which ever one gets the highest votes or if u have any other levels that i didnt mention that r in red faction and made by red faction just say the name and 1 vote ill put it up in this post

My personal favourite default DM map has already been re-done 
When you say you're going to remake it, do you mean you will start from scratch or are you just going to retexture one of them? Will you be adding to it, or keep the same layout? |

All the default maps are great and i dont no any point in remaking it.Why not you just make a level from your favourite game. |

DM - Hanger 18b
All the guy did was:
1. Add a few holes where people would blow holes away.
2. Add 3 jump pads.
3. A Fusion with invulnerability in the same room.
4. Added much needed spawn points.
5. Added more weapons(including more rail guns to frag the camping hosers) and ammo. I think the re-spawn time on the weapons and armor were change to a lower number as well.
6. Added another room with another HMG and amp for those that need the extra help.
What was this guy thinking. Frankly I think that was nuts when he did it.
Personally I like it better, the game play is faster and a bit more fair.  |

Yes, what was that little Censored thinking? Frankly, I think the guy should have spent his time creating an actual map, instead of noobly re-doing something old. Basically, this guy needs to grow up and stop being such a complete and total NOOB .
In all seriousness, Hanger 18b is a spiffy map. Download it and host it. Sadly, no one hosts this spiffy map anymore (at least not the servers I know of), even though it is one of the best DM recreations (except for over-powering any players smart enough to find the Fusion and the Invincibility). Thanks NCF for creating a spiffy, although unused, map
As far as actually redoing a map, I'll take one from your list. I don't know if anyone re-did Coffeebreak, so you might want to take a stab at that one. Mostly I hate how confined it is, and how most of the spawn points put you in a highly-confined area where a sniper can easily pick you off as you spawn. That, and the fact that the hallways are all extremely simple (just a straight path around the perimeter of the start point, leading up to sniping points). So, just take the advantage off the snipers' positions (at the top of the map, overlooking the main arena), make the hallways a bit more complex (say they twist into another battle arena?) and add more weapons for the primary start points (that main area there has hardly anything going for it, except for as a place to spawn kill). |

I think AoW would be a good remake.... nobody ever plays it, but I'm sure if you made changes to the gameplay aspect of the map it could breathe some life back into a severly overlooked map. |

Your welcome, I just always felt that level needed a it more. I also didn't like how little spawn points it had. I saw a lot of spawn killing in the original level. The only rail gun in the match made it very easy for a person with skill to camp down stairs.

Ok Everyone i have a idea how about which ever 2 good DM maps anyone likes ill combine both levels into a massive DM level and i dont mean im gonna copy and paste for example if theres a temple in one place like theres a main buidling ill put it in the leels and make it look alot different. PLUS it wont be a re make its gonna pretty much be a complty new map but with features of the best dm maps |
