I'm still waiting for someone to upload my English Free To Kill mod but it isn't exactly hyped or anything. I'm new to the modding community. This is probably the only mod I'll ever do. I can't be bothered, don't have any decent software and don't have any ability to make decent mods. |

Cptchaos, thanks for the acknowledgment. I'm glad so many of you are eager to play my mod. Can't wait to get it done. My topic has been a hot topic since day one, hasn't it? I didn't even notice.

JD, you sound like you're just looking for an excuse to not get into modding. You say you don't have good enough software? Why not? All the tools I use are free and were simply downloaded from the net. And you may not have the skills to make a decent mod now, but neither did I when I started. Don't come around here with that nonsence. You can do it, you just don't want to. And that's ok too. You don't have to, but seriously, you can if you try.

Did you make this Free to Kill mod or did you just port it over to an english version? I can't remember who it was that made this mod originally. If you didn't, you might not want to say that it's your mod. Because it's not if you just made it readable in English. Give credit where it's deserved if it's needed.

Okay. Thanks to ThoRCX for the Free To Kill mod and thanks to whoever it was who made the skin from the Cinema mod. I don't play MP2 that much anyway so I can't really be bothered to make anything for it. I'm happy with what there is. When Hall of Mirrors comes out then I will play it more. There is always some error that I can't get around or don't understand or it doesn't even tell me what the error is!! So I give up. It takes too long to code in new weapons and stuff and when I finish there's an error anyway so I don't know why I bother. I'll leave the modding to more skilled people. |

Whatever dude. It sounds like you need to ask more questions here at the forums or at some other MP forum. That's what I did. Any error I got was easily fixed by simply posting. You sound kind of lazy when it comes to trying to mod. If you went as far as almost adding a weapon correctly just to get an error at the end of it all, how could you just give up? I would have kept on just for personal satisfaction. The first thing I ever did for MP was add in a Minigun. It was kind of confusing at first but not impossible. And I'm not stupid, so I wasn't gonna just quit. I knew I could get it right eventually and I did. Now look at me, 4 years later I got a MP2 mod that's almost 700MB in size and I've pretty much learned how to do everything except map and model. I'm not saying you have to make a mod, but it sounds like you really wanted to add something into MP at one time. And we can use more modders around here, especially since MP3 is coming eventually.

Actually it's about 600MB. I am using music and I've edited every User Interface Screen, so don't forget about those size adding features. About half of the size goes to that alone. But the other half of it goes to the actual modding features like the new particle effects, sound effects, models, animations, scripts, more detailed skins, and so on. So it's not just big in size because I used some music and made the UI have a red color scheme. It's big in size because I've been adding to it for over 2 years now. The music and edited UI screens definitely add some size don't get me wrong. But I really don't care because the new UI screens give it that violent games feel, and the music adds a lot of what I want to the atmosphere of MP2. And that's adrenaline. I want people to play the TC as it should be played. I might make a smaller mod version of the TC later on if people really enjoy the full sized version, but I don't know about that yet. It would still be about 300MB in size so it would still be big. One can only wait and see.

All I can say is, either get a broadband connection or use a friend's.

		 Hey VG,

Since you are stucking to Max Payne im not guessing we will have the latest metal tracks ingame, won't we? So for example i will hear a re-done MP2 theme in the menu? Because that type of music certainly doesn't fit in a max payne ''maxpayne'' theme of mod, violent or not. By the way unther what option do you save your music? I mean 300 MB for just music is f**ing much or you are using very much music tracks. Compress it and every track will be the same size like a mp3 but then wav .

I didn't remake any of the music to have Death Metal characteristics. I wish I could have, but I don't know how to make music yet. All of the music has been replaced with Death Metal tracks. Including the theme song which has been replaced with a song by Slayer. It fits my TC very well. It won't sound out of place. The song's about payback so it not only sounds cool, but it also goes along with the original MP2 plot. Just because it's Death Metal doesn't mean it won't work with a MP based mod or TC. My TC makes MP something more aggressive which in turn is supported by the new music tracks. So maybe Death Metal doesn't work with MP's original boring, dark, noir setting, but it works with my TC's features, changes, and added adrenaline. My TC is all about violence, and so are the Death Metal tracks that I've added. They work well together.

How do you compress WAV music files to be the same size as MP3 music files? Can you use Goldwave for that? I need to do that. That may cut down on the size of my TC if it works.

		 Death Metal?

Could you release another version of your mod without the Death metal tracks? |
