I'm using(was using i suppose) a nVidida 6600 GT OC in my comp andall has been fine.It was about 2 days ago that the error happened. The night before it was fine. I put it to sleep like i always do and turn off my monitor, speakers, etc. The next day i came home from school and I turn it on but the monitor is showing nothing!!!!I tried everything I knew to fix it but nothing. In the end i ended up replacing it with my old Radeon 9200 and it worked fine. But I wanna use my nVidia again for gaming! I mean what would cause it to stop working all of a sudden?

Overheating... lol

You said it was oc'd. Mine is oc'd as well, @ 500MHz core and 1,000MHz memory there is no telling when my 6600GT will die on me

To put it simply, if you overclock something, don't expect it to last forever Also, plug it up and see if the fan is still working, if it is, then it's still likely to be the gpu.

Doesn't matter the brand... If you want something oc'd, then use a custom fan/heatsink.

Soooo... not to say your stupid... but..... lol

So basically, no table turned

And why exactly do you leave it running in stand by mode ... that in itself will cause higher-ended machines life span to diminish rapidly if its done often as there is still massive heat produced from them just running in a dormant state.

not standby where the computer is running but there is nothign on the screen. It's in sleep mode.Everythign shuts down but it keeps whatever programs i had open open for the next time i start up my comp. And the card was fine the night before so i really doubt it's the card.

DVL-Blaze not to sound dumb or anything.

If you bought the video card from a store, why can't you exchange it. Some video cards have a life time warranty and you can ship it back to them and they will either repair it or replace it. If you have another video card that you can use while you get the other one fixed, they I suggest you do that. You can get cards that are faulty from time to time, it not your fault. Here is an example of a warranty that I am talking about.
