Hi im trying to apply decals to cliffs of warlords, and they come out with the image in the middle with bits strectched coming from it. Plz help

sorry that didnt help me. Can anyone help please, the decal is alrite but it stretches the outside bits all over the texture its attatched to.

If you are using a texture (or custom texture) that does not have 100%alpha on the edges (transparency) of the bitmap it will not show up correctly and it will stretch along the walls like that.

the only solution is to open the texture in photoshop or paint shop pro and add transparency along the edges of the bitmap, 1 pixel is enough. save and pick your custom texture.

I'm pretty sure that what D2K said in his post, is the way to fix this. maybe your doing something wrong. you just need to be sure your decal texture has a 1 pixel 100% transparent border.

try saving the tga as a 24 bit or 32 bit tga uncompressed... NEVER save it as a compressed tga. its a bad practice.
