Hey i have some horror sounds but their in mp3 format.Is there any thing that,ll convert it into a wav?

yeah that program is good.
i used it to convert music for my map dm morpheus,which still took 2 computers to convert. 1 playing the music and the other recording using db power amp through auxilary input, it did the trick
i could not convert it digitaly coz no program not even db power amp can understand the format .it (impulse tracker) and that was hard enough to decode from its originaly pack file of .umx

Yeah, goldwave is a good program... I use it to modify music if I want it to loop in my map. Then i save it as an MP3 and use dBpowerAMP to convert it to the smallest wav size as possible.

With goldwave, it tends to use high quality sound, so the wav files come out at least 16 - 32mb depending on the size of your orginal sound.

I found a better one after trying both of what you guys suggested i prefer this much better.ANd its free.It only converts audio files into wav and mp3,s but thats no problem its also free comes with alot of free useful utilities like WavePad that lets me edit the mp3,s and wavs.Its Switch 1.05

AFter converting the files where do i put them?I just put them in the games folder but should i put them in the RF folder or in the audio vpp?

When I got my new computer it came with one I think...

BTW it came with Windows XP media center edition. Never heard of that one before.

Put them in the VPP? The same VPP as the map or another VPP.Then put the VPP(s) in your map folder.

the converter doesnt come with windows xp media, it does but not the ability to convert to .wav

they are not like textures, you have to put a event or sound (or anything you want to play the sound in) then in the properties, click browse. then find the file. then when you create level packfile, make sure that the sound is in at least one .vpp in your multi folder.

yes you just need to get the ogg codec for it here

Ugh Thats an exe file I can't download exe files..

I have to download plugins before the formats become available?
Thats why the download was only 2MB
