Well you messed up.
You downloaded this file:
R4 H.U.D.
Then you had the nerve to say that Lazyban130 doesn't work in a review, which got rejected.
If it doesn't work for you then it's because you modified your UI file. Read the read me file.
Did you bother read this on the description:
Warning: This H.U.D. does not work when using lazyban. You must deactivate it to use the H.U.D. |

you have to make sure ytou have all oriongional RF .dll files, no modified files. and then you have to put lazyban in your C:\games\RedFaction folder, then create a shortcut to it, put the shortcut on your desktop, not the exe itself. it is looking for the .dll files in your RF folder on you desktop, which is obvisly cant find. |

OK it works now, If you had just read the description/instruction include on the web page, all this would have been easily avoided.
Quoting Description | This is a tiny application created by SubZ, that gives any rcon holder the ability to ban any player using any name by simply substituting the players name for a letter! The server does not need to be running this, just the rcon holder doing the banning. There are full details on Installation and Commands in the ReadMe included with the download.
Note: This does not work on French or German versions.
Instructions:
1. Extract the LazyBan.exe file to your RedFaction folder.
2. When you start a game, click on LazyBan.exe instead of rf.exe.
3. In the game bring down the console and request rcon.
4. Type "ban" (without the quotes) and press "Enter".
5. A list of players will appear with a letter beside each name.
6. Where it says "Pick a letter" just type the letter next to the player name that you want to ban and hit enter.
This file gives you the ability to see all English versions of servers (1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3). |
What really makes me mad, is the review that you had left, which was rejected. You stated that it didn't work and all this time...

Is this Lazyban only designed for the C: directory, if it is, thats a problem for me because I have all my games installed on a seperate Directory D:.
I have had a few problems with this in the past with some mods because the default directory people use is C:. |

Swap them over next time you format. A name is just a name, So it won't harm you to install all your games to the C-drive and all your other CENSORED to the D-drive will it? |

Try it once more, because when I first purchased RF I was on a pc with C, D, and E SCSI drives. I had RF installed on the E:\ drive with LazyBan1.3 extracted into the E:\games\RedFaction\ directory.
Those drives are now used as server drives for my server pc.
But with this pc... It's an eMachines... And it's just buggered! |

Yes i use my D:\ Drive for games aswell and no lazyban works fine for me ... i cant use RFSA4 however as my maps arnt in the C: directory so it wont pick them up, i also had a quick look through the HEX of the program to see if it had the directory there so i could change it but i saw no reference.
And Mad_Ferrit i hardly ever do a fresh reinstall ... if anything goes wrong i restore a self made image of a clean OS install (saves alot of time) so i only have programs and the OS on my C: drive as this makes backing up unecessary. Although the program i used doesnt seem to support SATA drives so atm i need to use my old 40GB as my OS backup as the new program i use only supports partition to partition copy |
