I've been working on a new vehicle named "Lobreaker"
It's going to replace the Goliath tank (if I can figure out how to create the mutator code.)
I thought the Goliath looks like the usual Tank...so I decided to model the design which been flying around in my head the last days..
I wanted to do something with a "crossed" chain rather than the usual chain that goes in a oval shape. (you know what I mean, dont cha? )
The chain bends from horizontally movement to vertically.
It's hard to see it on the images because my gun is in front of it
Also I wanted to have a drivers seat above the tank tower. I thought it was a nice idea...

The tank now has a rocket launcher whch is more useful (like the one of the leviathan). I think it's a waste to put 2 people in one goliath since a man outside of it is safer and more powerful. Not with the Lobreaker..
(the tank weapons damage is a tad lower tough)

Looks good!!

I'm happy you finaly decided to put your hand in UT 2004 code. The game is so modable that it deserves your skill (much more than a certain old game whose name starts with red ).

Now i have to warn Winky Boy.

BTW, what happened to your rat style ONS map for UT2004?

I know, I have no texturing skills at all so I have just used the default skin of the tank...I didn't even make a new one. But that keeps the file small enough to download it from a server (I think)

Or perhaps its the map that makes it looking so cartoony!

I've send the Kitchen map to OutlawSkot some days ago. I've just sent the file submission. I know it took a long time...I wasn't interested to work on the level for a long time since the stone started rolling on the lego mod and on the client side mods
I don't know how many "rats" maps UT04 already has, I hope mine doesn't look too bad..still have to learn mapping.
But I'm happy with it But I think the additional power node wasn't a good idea...well..you can choose a different link setup if you want.
I've also built a remake of the DM02 (installationXY15) map of RedFaction...just for fun. At least in UT2004 I'm able to play against someone, I wanted to play DM02, but not without enemies. Now I can

You don't nesecarily have to make a vehicle switch mutator. Just Include the WoRM Vehicle Arena mut or something similar (giving all credit where it's due of course.)

Regarding RFInstallationXY15, I hope that you made it a lot bigger than the Red Faction map. D2K did a death match map for UT2004 based on the lobby map. It looks good and all but it's a bit too small for UT2004. The reason being that you move a lot faster in UT2004 than in Red Faction. His map(IMO) is not playable with more than 8 player/bots.
BTW where did you find the texture for the level, they look amazing.

I don't know if it on this site. He gave me the link a while back and I have the file but the compress file doesn't have a screen shot of the level for me to post.

RED-FROG, i know somewhere you said that you couldnt convert the UT04 files to anythikng else to put them in RF... but here's a .dds plugin for Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.

Well, I have a dds converter but it doesn't seem to work with the UT04s dds files.

Frank, I know what you're meaning My level is small too, well not small but compared to the playersizes it looks the same as in RF.
Yes the movements are faster, but I didn't want to make it look like a rats map.
It'd look really strange if I'd scale it up.

Usually I play it with 2 more bots. Maybe 3, but at this playercount the matches become evil It's very challenging and I think its a lot of fun

I have made some "geo"holes where you usually can do geomod in RF...that makes it even better. I don't know the capabilities in mesh animation or mover animations...it might be possible to create fake geomod actions on the walls with movers/particles or animated meshes. But I'd have to learn that first.
