the thing is, ghostkid at least (even though his post was spam too...) he acually encouraged the making of a new MT, he gave (little) feedback unlike you just saying "what is" when if you had read any of the topic at all, you would clearly understand what he is talking about  |

This sounds like a load of CENSORED to me. It's Volition btw, not violation.
Never say impossible! Goober ... Who say's CCrunch ain't decodeable (I don't know the application though), how could RF2 read it's own files when you can't decode them? ... (That's like saying you can't decode the files because they are in chinese).
Logics ... LOGICS!! One Way Encryptions without letting the enemy see the encryption code ... That's impossible to decode most of the times, but then again, your application isn't supposed to be able to decode it either so you're stuck with encrypted files that are useless.
And it actually IS possible to build MP into RF2, with the use of a dissassembler ... rofl, but finding a person that can actually do that (if there are any) is gonna take years, let stand he wants to do this.

thinks for the spelling corection. things for agreeing with me. but the fact is. neather sobe or my self as been able to success decod or decompile RF 2.
P.S. to sobe of corse Volition would make a decoding program how else would they be able to make an RF 3 if they could compaire the new code to the old??????????????????????

They are NOT making an RF3. So why would you say this:

They WOULDN'T make a proggy such as that because they are NOT developing a Red Faction 3. In the future they may, but now, they are not. And if they did, I doubt they would compare the old/new data. They would probably make it a new game altogether.. |

Yeah I agree with Sobe on this one. If Volition/THQ would make an RF3, they would probably just make a completely new game.

Mabye I could start a project if I knew how much 3DS Max 4 would run me. Mabye if I had some in depth tutorials for RED... |

RED is the EASIEST map editor you will find I believe.
However, 3d Studio Max is far from easy. I tried the 30-day trial and I made an AK-47... And 3d Studio Max normally sells for around $3k($3,000) I believe. |

Well I guess I'll leave the modding up to you people that are really willing to shell out 3 grand. I'll stick with the free stuff please. |

My god so much SPAM lately but i didnt want to say anything as then i would be SPAMMING and i realise that i am now but i just cant hold it in anymore.
To be kinda on topic ... yes some programs out there cost $1000+ but they are meant for proffesionals in the business who are going to make $10000 from using the program so they are willing to pay the big amounts of money to make money. |
