As you know Red Faction offers a fairly simple cutscene movie system to have in maps.. designed mainly for Single Player however they can still be used in Multiplayer if you know what your doing..
However past discussion showed that many users trying to use cutscenes had many difficulties opening the cutscene properties.. Well i have found a solution.
With too many clutter object ect RED will crash when trying to open the cutscene event properties, So what we have to do is hide all objects, and simply unhide ONLY the cutscene event.
Some will ask, Why does RED still crash?
Well, Its fairly unknown but using the special methods that have been found it greatly decreases the chances of RED crashing... you could fail 100 times and still have no luck but the key is to try different methods and you should see results.
Or just have 1 gig of ram in ur PC and then you can open the cutscene properties 99.9% of the time

Someone came up with a method that worked all the time. They renamed the cutscene and it actually worked, I cant think who it was.
I have still never got them working
I studied a Cutscene setup before but my replication never worked.
Trying to find old players. Anyone about? Drop me a PM or reply to this thread: >Link< (or head over to RFrun.net's comment section!)

Some levels do that, I doubt renaming it makes much difference but I know that one of my maps has never crashed while opening the cutscene properties and yet it has several of them..
The easiest way would be to link When Dead ->Delay ->Cutscene
In the cutscene properties put the camera id and put a path time of however long you want it to go for.. you can also use Trigger Uid and put a target Uid number and make it move in the direction you want the camera to look ect..
You dont actually need to have path nodes .. although i like path nodes better but in MP you can only use path nodes once.. and then you gotta use the rest still shots..
Having trigger cutscenes is just a bit more work but can really pay off..
