Try looking at the beginning of weapons.tbl and you'll find usage instructions.

Some of those entries are self-explanatory. Such as $Damage Radius. I belive Doc's Weird Server has this variable much higher than normal, as rockets can now kill you from about 100 feet away, and shotgun pellets also seem explosive.

AI Attack Range is default 180 I think... Increase or decrease to make them able to attack further away or closer.

Velocity is the speed of whatever is being shot; you can actually slow down the velocity of the instant-hit bullets in order to make them homing. D2k's Weird 2 Mod decreased the velocity of the precision rifle's bullets (among other things) and also replaced the bullet graphic with eggs.

Whats with the Lifetime and BBox thingy? What do they do?

is this for weapons? if do then i think the lifetime would be the ammo...

and BBox may be SpecialFX, like the rail rifle glow..

No, if you rename them your mod wont work

Make a new folder inside the redfaction/mod folder, called "predmod" or something, then open VPP Builder click "add" and choose your modified files, then save this new VPP into your "predmod" folder. The VPP does not have to be the same name as the folder.

Extract any files your modifying from their original sources. Put them in a project folder in "my documents" or somewhere so you you've got easy access to them. Once you've made some changes just add them to your mod VPP.

Some of the 'less obvious' ones:

$Sticky - projectiles stick to entities / terrain (like the mines/C4)

$Glow - projectiles glow (like the rocket and fusion)

+Inner radius and + Outer radius - the inner is bright bit, the outer number sets the maximum area that is lit i.e. the falloff distance.

$Scorch size - the size of 'burn' projectiles such as rockets leave on walls

$Piercing and + Piercing power - how far a projectile travels inside different materials, i.e. the sniper rifle will penetrate a through very thin walls and hurt someone on the other side.

$Multi BBox Size Factor - makes multiplayer opponents easier to hit

$Lifetime - how long the projectile 'lives' i.e. if you set the lifetime of a rocket to 1.0 then it will disappear 1 second after you fire it, even if it doesn't hit anything.

Spread degrees[For multi and sp} - how much a projectile can deviate from where the crosshair is.

Don't know if you still need to know these
