I recently found a way to create the illusion of glowing lights.
Not only does this never before seen technique make the level feel alive and look amazing, its also a fairly small download.

Here is a screenshot from one of the hallways, although you wont be able to see the animated lighting so i have provided a direct download link to the map, so you can all check it out.

I have basically coated the entire map with semi transparent animating glass vbm which seems to react with the lighting.

That's a very fast paced map. Nice effects too. Though I did get caught up on some of the boxes from time to time, it was very quick-actioned. Good for 2-4, maybe 5 or 6 players.

If i gave the brushes that players get caught on into "no player collide" then there should be no problems.. The layout of the map was nothing without the effect.. All the hallways look much the same, I will most likely create a decent map featuring this new effect

D2K [or someone] came up with this idea a number of years ago. Not sure if he ever made it into a map. Nice effort though.
If I ever get to where I am going, will I know when I am there?    Modified Nov 18th, 02:13pm by Trigger
