Does anyone currently own these games or played them yet? I just finished a game of AoE III demo and I must say, for a demo it is quite addicting (can't wait to get the real deal for Christmas)... it plays quite different from AoE II but I actually find it more enjoyable, at least on the resource gathering side (for once Ensemble put it together and made it so you can have never-ending sources for resources so you can set a villager to a certain area and don't have to worry constantly about what they're doing or renewing the land). And the trade lines and shipments from your home city are very nice as well, they gaurentee you never get that really annoying moment where you run out a certain resource and can't get it anywhere on the map, thus making sure the game can technically go on forever (much more enjoyable )
Anyways, thats about all I have to say for it so far... battles seem to be as enjoyable as always, although I wish there was more to research (there may be in full version)... upgrading to Imperial Age doesn't seem to give you much to research even in the Capital.
I'm currently downloading the CoD 2 demo... just wondering has anyone here played it? My friend has downloaded the demo and says it runs fine on his computer, which is a really pretty old computer (it runs most every recent game though, although very slowly, but it all it has is an integrated 32 MB graphics card and 256 MB RAM... don't ask me how it runs FarCry )Anyways, does anyone have it or played it? Would it be worth purchasing (or asking for Christmas)? Also, how well do you think it would run on my computer (AMD XP 3200+ (32-bit), GeForce FX 5500 OC 128 MB, 1024 MB RAM)?
Thats about it... post your comments on the above games here, and if you have an answer to my question, go ahead and post it please! Thank you! |

WTH? your friend can play FarCry and CoD2 on such a funny PC..??
I gotta see that to believe it
And I think CoD2 will run fine on your PC, something like 800*600*16 bbp and detail options set to high (but Anisotropic & Antialiasing turned off)
