I voted: Geforce 7800 GT (or better?)
I believe there is even a newer Geforce card, but its hard to get and pre-orderd out of pre-order-stock. so deffinatly the Or Better part of that option |

Yes the 7800GT is easily the best card on that list and will more than get you through any game out atm. The 9800Pro is an alright card and plays most games ... although for FEAR you need it at the lower settings but handles other games perfectly fine |

Ya. I think they just came out with a 512MB 8200 GTX and it goes for about $699 - $799 |

The 7800GT is a tad slower form of the 7800GTX. I myself am not going to purchase the GTX version, but I plan on getting the GT version very soon Also, ATi has unveiled their new line of cards. So be sure to note those too.
And for ATi, Radeon X850XT will do you well. |

hehe... so far I was kinda expecting prices around about 100-200, but from what I see ill have to just buy either a new computer or just stick to this dam Geforce4 MX which accualy aint all that bad, but im sure the 512-1000+MB RAM is gonna help at least. |

512MB or 1,024MB RAM will not help too much at all on a vid card. But as computer RAM it is very useful. And if you wish, just ask and I will post the article that I posted about RAM not being a determining factor of your vid card's performance |

I know that, but it would kick CENSORED to have a faster get go on gaming and loading stuff. I do know most games use 128+ MB type of Vid Cards tho. Still not sure if I should upgrade or wait till after I get a car to get a new computer.
Thanks for the comments and helping me out here. I still love this site and prob will always come here for my computer and game needs. Post more if yall have any other comments or suggestions. |

Radeon 9800 is pretty ancient. If you've got some real cash to spend I would go for the Radeon X1800 XT (which is out in just under 2 weeks I believe). Expensive as hell, but a great card. And if you're feeling really rich get a couple linked up via crossfire .
If you're more the budget gamer, then the lower models of the Radeon X800 and GeForce 6800 can be picked up pretty cheap, while still giving a pretty damn good performance.
My personal preference is ATi but Nvidia do some pretty good cards too. |

The best performance card is the new 7800GTX 512MB. |
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. |
