I'm aware of the Turbo_Man. We tried it a while back when the tracker had gone down but I can't remember how we did it.  |

Nah Goober, you dídn't offend me, and my relative (whom i cannot mention) has told me today that the THQ staff have been talking and if the tracker is Not up by the 24th of November, It WILL NOT be up. He/She has told them about all the RedFaction clan websites (active ones)that I told him/her about,and about this one, RFV, etc. He/She said they have been browsing them and are noticing how important Red Faction is to some people, so they are trying to get it back up by November 24th, but they are giving up if it takes longer than that. Sorry to say! I'm still not supposed to tell you guys this, but hey...RF is still alive & important!  Cya. |

I mean microsoft took down the entire xbox live network the other week. it was back after 24 hours.

Trigger, it's fine. And my relative says they do not read all of the posts on every site, they only look at the topic names and see how many are about RedFaction. BUT there is new news from the relative... "THQ IS GIVING UP ON REDFACTION, BUT They are handing the whole deal with the tracker over to the VOLITION company/corporation. They are going to try to get it up and working for all of you. It is no longer in THQ's hands, so don't bother asking us any more." |

if they dont ever bring the server back up again...thats such CENSORED ...serious, like someone earlier stated, you go out and by this game for the multiplayer expirience and then they shut down the server, what kinda crap is that.. |

Forgive the following rampaging dialog but I am compelled to write out of frustration; 
1. Why did THQ host the game tracker in the first place if they didn't want it in the long term?
2. When they pulled the plug, why was there no warning?
3. Third, why didn't THQ offer the game tracker to someone else?
Hey THQ, THQ should understand that forethought and careful planning of product and support are required to maintain a loyal customer-base.
Nearly a month later we are still choking on rumor, speculation and raw feelings.
What needs to happen is THQ coming out from the electronic "snow job" for three minutes!
Then put a post in a forum anywhere - so everyone can know what is going on.
Hiding and lying are not cool ways of making a living.  |

Zup people,
Hapa take it easy. I know you are frustrated because you figured out how to make custom maps Mac safe just as THQ threw the game traker away. It is true life irony, just roll with the punches.
Just so everyone knows - I used to play RF on a PC. Couple years back I went to Mac for graphics. I played Halo for a while and I finally got sick of the "bumper cars" game. One day I searched the web for RF and the Mac and there was Hapa, alone in the world trying to make it work.
Don't give up Hapa. Thanks for sending me microfaction 5,6 and redux with the aifs.  |
