Apparently so. However, I get the impression it is a little mis-managed. Must be if you didn't know about it. |
If I ever get to where I am going, will I know when I am there? |

Mapping competition for what? SPMC is still up and running (SPMC - SP mapping contest), RFU 5 never started, as too many people refused to think of a basic topic. RFU 5 can still be resurrected, if you're that needy for MP maps.
As far as SPMC's mis-management, I didn't see the point in making a CDC for it when its more of an experiment to see how interested everyone is in SP maps. Sure, people say they are interested, but hardly anyone signed up (we have something like 5 people, decent, but not a real mapping competition size). SPMC is still open, for another 2 and a half (or so) weeks, so if you can quickly make one by then, you may enter if you please (just write your name on the thread called "SPMC 2K5"). |

vidi ur rules have alienated ppl, ur lust for having a 56k friedly map pack is your downfall.
and the only way rfu 5 will be resurected or successful in any way is if the better mappers, which have all said no to another RFU, decide to map, they are the veterans and the best, even though some of the more current mappers are finding there way onto the popularity, there arnt enough of them to make a good map pack. |

Ugly Donkey, you weren't even around for the RFU map packs were you..... I myself was around, yet I didn't feel good enough to map for them. I also think an excellent RFU map pack theme would be micro maps of different sorts! lol |

I've got a few ideas for RF still rattling around in my head... I'm at the point where I may be getting back to mapping... Or even modding. |

Yeah I remember when i first came to this site there were different mapping competitions for different sections, on this site.
Like this map from w.r.e.c.k.s that won in different parts of a competition. |

The ultimate micro map would be a map of the body.Starting form and apple shaped elevator the players descend into the micro map. wich is the body complete with intestines as tubes. |

That seems like it would be way to complex to me, and also too... vertical.
Even still, that wouldn't be such a bad idea. Maybe insdead of inside the body an outside could be designed... Powerups in the mouth and nose perhaps. And certain "things" could be used as cover. |
