Okay here is some fresh news about my mod project.
First of all I am making it on workname "Shock-FX"

And here is some specs that I am doind for it in alpha development stage (dev team + few volunteers testing)

-16 working weapons (all different from RF standard weapons)
- Few playable multiplayer maps (done for beta 1.00)
New static objects (what I make in learning purposes with 3d studio max)
- All weapons fires visible projectiles (it actually flies but speed might be to high to see it)
- All projectiles are affected with gravity, to make their behaviour more realistic

I am hoping to make alpha stage as short as possible but I can't promise too much since I got also other life than modding red faction

Beta development stage features

-32 working different kind of weapons (from pistols and revolvers into heavy machine guns and anti-tank/anti-aircraft weaponary)
-Few new working vehicles (hopefully with new weapons too)
-Begining of single player story
NOTE: I keep expanding these once I invent (again) more features
Some not so fast to be done stuff. (when these are added will vary greatly)

These things I will impliment when possible.

- New table interface to make table reading and editing to be faster.
- Controlled plugin interface. (not like amx for HL )

- Claymore mine weapons (trapping weapons)
- Variety of mines (anti personel and anti vehicle ones)

- Advanced geo-mod enviromental damage (ie. metal can be blown too)

So if someone is interested to help it is always welcome, so just send me PM and tell me what you can do and demonstrate some of your previous works.

Also I have opened CDC for this. (atleast for time before my new website is up and online)

Yeah like what jileb said.But are any weapons finished for the mod?And if some are finished can i see some pics?

No, because I started this project from scratch and I haven't done anything yet.

Ok but may i ask how are you going to make 32 working different weapons?Is it possible? If it is and your the first one to try and may succeed then i,m sure that your mod will be downloaded.

Aaw I have cracked that mystery long ago and I am not sure which one : me or red-frog found it out first. But I think that I made it more public (IF I am right)

EDIT: I am working also for project's home page what should be online 1st december (funny same time as master tracker should come online too)

The extra weapons are most likely added through tbl editing.

If you need maps for your mod I will help you there

Yeah extra weapons are really added by table editing, but if you don't know what you are doing, I recomend to forget it, because one mistake can ruin tables (need to hunt down single mistake).

Anyway if you want to help, then try to create a map on theme : Realisitic warfare practising map, (trentches etc.)

I will judge which is best, since I got personal experiense on attacking and defensive warfare (I have been in military training)

Hmm, CTF would be nice into multiplayer, but some solo action into single (you decide).

I am coding my webdomain at the monent, so it would be online on 1st of december.

Yup,
you should never remove the special weeapons from the weapons.tbl
(the silent handgun and the machine pistol.)

I've done that on eko for testing, and I got some problems with some weapons. I can't remember the problem, but it was something wrong with the reloads on the rail gun etc. which aren't related to the special weapons in any way. Very strange stuff.

Yeah well red faction's current table system has some real odd inside stuff in it. IE. My former table writer said that he never got another silenced pistol to work etc.

Also an text editor showing linenumber is very handy when hunting down crashing bugs. (This is one reason why I would like to make new interface for table files(to remove current bugs)).

On other hand, I started another mod project for diablo II since I have played that game for LONG time, and I want play it other way too. (which is possible by mods). And I think that my d2 mod works also for benefit of RF mod as I can release my preasures by hitting demons back to abyss
