I made a map like this but never finished or released it.
Make the interiors of the "city block" accessible so that a player can hide in the backyards of some of the block.

Also the buildings should be about the same height of the players.
...My 2 cents.

When i meant almost completed i meant like just the buildings

I just started on the damn map

I am planning on putting streets and lamp posts and making a bridge.I,ve already got the street textures.

The helicopter i dunno thats to hard for a noob mapper like me.

I put climbing regions on all the buildings so players can climb on them and tall buildings can be climbed Kong style


The reason i didint UV unwrapped them was because whenever i click UV unwrap i cant see the textures just a blank whit space.Maybe another Bug in RED?

to fix that problem all u have to do is exit out of RED then restart. that happens every time u test the map in game

Yeah, i think someone mentionned it has something to do with having hyperthreading on your processor. If you go in through F7 mode to test your map then you get a white screen when you try to UV unwrap. Simply close and re-open RED as the Donkey pointed out and you'll be able to UV unwrap no problems at all. RED's UV unwrap function is still better than most editors today; Hammer, UnrealEd etc so USE IT!!!

Try creating your own textures... it's fun, induces stress and helps to pass time..

Are there and futurama based maps? ... and for the giant style maps there is a giant battle between Bender and Zoidberg if anyone wants some inspiration


Oh yes, Defently like Futurama.

I do understand that some people have a point. Yes buildings in the future will probley be scattered instead of next to each other.

Making a Future like Building is highly difficult ... Too many windows lol... I would have to create a Texture or something of a building with blue windows and some crazy company names like "RoboTech" or "Rocket Express"
