where are those objects? not the push or climb region but like the actull platform and the ladder?

You make the ladder yourself, or download RED Groups which will give you lots of premade stuff (including ladders)
Just go to "Group" mode and then load up the desired Group.

i find that make-your-own ladders work and look alot better, i cant remember the last time i used a RED group in one of my own maps, but the groups do help alot of new mappers, untill they see what it does to the UIDs

The only problem I see with using a ladder from RED groups is the amount of brushes you will use. I mean each step is a brush and each rail is another brush.
The same thing could be done by using on solid(detail) brush and just adding the texture called mtl_ladder02.vbm from the Grating under the Texture Mode. As far as the climbing region, just place it where you need it and that can be found under Object Mode three places from the top of the list.
By doing it this way, it will allow you to lower the brush count and maybe even helping the frame-rate to stay up when playing the game.

Thats what I think is the most convenient way to make a ladder.
