If you have not done anything new with your computer such as installing new software and or hardware, chances are that you have a virus. I would run Norten Anti Virus and I would run AVG. It may be prudent to run a third anti virus program on your machine judging by the severity of the virus if found on your machine. Please let us know how it goes.

Another thing that you can do to resolve this issue, use the Microsoft User Profile Hive Cleanup Service (UPHClean). UPHClean monitors the computer while Windows is unloading user profiles and forces resources that are open to close. Therefore, the computer can unload and reconcile user profiles.

To download and install UPHClean, Click This Link...

Quoting Terminator20
I would run Norten Anti Virus and I would run AVG.

Uninstall the joke of an AV they call Norton AV... install NOD32 and find the viruses NAV missed. I've converted 4-5 friends/family from NAV to NOD32 so far and all have had viruses on their computer that NAV never detected but NOD32 found on its first system scan after install.

NAV was a good AV 3-4 years ago... its interface is just god damn awful and its scanning ability simply isn't good enough.

The real winner for me though, NAV Live Update pops up, annoys you getting your permission to update. NOD32 by default is configured to update itself every hour if needed... silently in the background. In other words...you install your anti-virus software... and then forget its there. It takes care of itself...

If you do a full system scan in NAV ever noticed it takes ages and really chugs your system? (not to mention the viruses it still misses ) NOD32 you barely notice it doing the scan, does it in a fraction of the time (even when configured to scan every type of file on your computer and inside zip files) and it still finds viruses that NAV doesn't.

NAV to NOD32 is like IE to Opera/Firefox. Its bloody awful yet people still use it...

Oh and NOD32 is cheaper as well btw

As for the specific problem, never encountered that problem so cant suggest anything other than a change of AV program and what Terminator said
