I was wondering if there's a simple tweak that would allow me to use Mona throughout the entire single player game.
I know the -developekeys trick, but that doesn't really work for me, as it doesn't like it if you're not Max and a scripted moment appears.
Is there a workaround if not an easy modification?

You are supose to put develope'r'keys in not developekeys
(without the quotes)

OK, my typo aside, I know how it works.
But anytime there's supposed to be a scripted event, if I'm not Max, the game hangs. Such as in the hospital, when trying to escape, if you're not Max, the hallucinations don't trigger correctly, and doors don't even open.

Male and female characters have some different animations, and Max and Mona have extra animations. Of course it will hang. What were you hoping for - Mona jumping into Mona's arms and doing the monkey girl thing?
I was hoping to be able to just bypass the cut scenes, or fix the hang, and just play through the game as Mona without needing to reskin to Max.
Sounds like there's no workaround. Thanks though.

You could try to skip the animations by presing [space] or [enter]

I havn't tried this but this is how I think you do it:
You need to get all the MP data. Then go to data/database/skins. There should be a file called 'male_player'. Open it and I think it should say what player model and textures it uses. Change the player model and textures to Mona's ones and then I think it will work. I've never tried this before but I read somewhere how to do it. I just searched on Google and couldn't find anything so this is the best I could do.
PS: If that didn't work then this might be a much quicker and easier way:
Change the 'Mona' or 'female_player' file (The file that the game uses when playing as Mona)change the name of it to 'male_player'.
