In my earlier post I was talking about the Max method. This method is certainly something you would 'stumble' across.

It could be added to the redtech tutorial list, but I don't know if it would have any real application for maps in either SP or MP considering the points Ninja has made. It's a bit like my rising water tutorial. Shame about the bugs.

Had a quick test with Ninja and I had a blast trying to shoot him from the other side of the mover without being able to see him.

yea but still, it may have some bugs, but i thnk its advantages overthrow its bugs, just the ability to beable to do it i think is preety amazing.

Gee thanks ryan...

this method is more helpfull for SP maps or like detail where you want rotating clouds in the sky or something.

Well I have to say, we learn new things everyday. Im glad their's people like you goober, who can show us what you have learned from programs and able to help others who might find it useful. I too have been woundering the problem my self.

Please, if anyone else has any other findings with RED Editor, let us know straight away, it can improve maps and mapping can become an easy part of life

lol, what if goober doesn't know it as well as you do? You might as well type it all out. Even better, type it out on a Word Document or Notepad first so that you can correct your mistakes. Then easily copy and paste the text into here.

okay im in school ATM so i dont got alot of time, but yea sure ill write that tut for REDTECH too, i got a couple new ideas. ill try to discover some new things when i get home too

On the contrary we could exploit the bug without a (moving) mover.
Imagine a transparent (glass) wall you can hide behind.
A glass corridor would be a blast.

Why did you let us know about this discovery but planned not to tell us how it works. Thats lame yeah.
But you've changed your mind..so lets forget about that

Its a shame RF messes up this idea by its limitations in the engine, as usual.

hmmm will that work? ill try it..

EDIT: no that wont work, and ninja, bullets dont go right through the mover if you put a glass texture on it

I dont mean decal object..

get your brush and texture it with the transparent tga and put it against the wall which has the same effect except you can make it move around
