I was just wondering. I thought Cyrus once had a original idea with the deathrun maps, we had deathrun 1, 2 and 3 and they were all fun, and also very frustrating
Now I see that the CDC gets filled up with stuff about new run maps, and I see new run maps from Goober once in the two weeks or something.
My poll question: Do we really want more of these Run maps?
Yes i want more run maps ... but i would rather them have more well detailed ones aswell. Gober has released many quickly ... and although the running is fine the actual aesthetics(?) are quite bland and uninspired. He gets the blocks textured well (most of them) but the walls are always the same colour all around the room and although fun to play the texturing just makes it monotonous and just doesnt have the fell of the original deathruns. MXC, i think it is, looks promising from the screenies but will have to wait until it is released and Darkrun2 (2 Dark2Run) from the parts ive played also looks like it will keep the atmosphere of the originals while introducing new obstacles and traps.
And anyway ive completed all the current run maps (most with 0 deaths ) and need new challanges maps
P.S. Still Alive.

Run maps are great and everybody seems to agree judging by the number of downloads and positive reviews from all of Cyrus's Deathruns.
These maps dont need to be frustrating either.. if need be you could make 0 traps and just have a speedy race Run, although there would be no challenge in that and also makes sense to add difficulty to prevent people finishing it on their first time.. these maps can be huge and seem never-ending..its very much like a single player map except you play along side friends online.. as long as its a fun + cool map, the players will keep coming back, thats my advice for people who want to follow in Cyrus's footsteps, the idea is not to make the maps impossible to finish, its to make people feel accomplishment and satisfied with their new skill.
Goober has made nearly 5 Run maps now and they are not as well crafted as Deathrun but yet they are the most popular custom maps to download these days due to 3 or 4 big servers running bringing in sometimes 8 - 10 players..
I've been working on a Run for around 4 months and its unbelievably different from any Run map, It includes a realistic theme and obstacles.. and i wont bother spoiling Darkrun2 for everyone here, I will be releasing it very soon in a few days.
