hi ive been away for awhile im trying to remember all those silly little tricks tricks in red if anyone wants to answer questions for me or send me some of the great tutorials that used to be around that would be great also why does the red help file have so many missing sections ive got all the latest updates to it it seems the mover help files are incomplete and thats where most of my problems are thanks in advance

cool thanks in particular im wondering why if i make say a simple rotating disk on the floor when the player is standing on it he does not move with the disk it just spins under him ?

your going to have to make push regions going all around the spinning disk with the "Grounded" checked.

That would be wierd, and wouldn't give the effect of spinning, and you'll also have the annoying pushregion sound going over and over, and you'll also will continue facing the same direction.

Not a good idea.

hmmm, if you took enought time you could put a ton of push regions on inverts, that would take like a month to get right tho..

so why if i make an inclined ramp with a push region at the same incline it wont push the player up the ramp ??

hmmm it should, but i tryed it before and it didnt.... try making the push retgion not on a slant but still have it grounded, make a HUge square push region surounding the ramp..

You cant change the direction which the player looks.. but you can make the player spin around simply by moving the rotating mover off centre.

It probabbly pushes the player against the ramp, give the push region a bit more angle than the ramp an place it a bit above the ramp. Are You using a oriented bounding box or what ?

The rotating thing is fairly simple to get around, just make small spines, you can even texture them invisible, that rotate with the spinner... this will force you to spin with it... however RED still does like to glitch around a bit so it's not 100% good...

you people are giving me some gret tips and i appreciate it its all coming back to me now
However this inclined ramp with a push region is stumping me it makes no sense why it wont work
