Hello everyone 
I make this topic, because the page i initially wrote on Söldner news have an error (reason = javascript url). If you realy have an interest on FPS destruction, do what it need to test Söldner at is best. Keep a eye on there project, we never know!

The next two weeks you can play around with the addon for free. The action starts this Friday (07/10/05) and lasts until 23/10/05. So tell all your friends, stash in some food (and drink). And blow their brains out with every weapon you can imagine!

Geo Technology at this level, event today, 5 years later, is stay a unique feature in FPS. Is extremely rare to see this, we have FarCry had put is (fake vextex Geo), and when they are use it? lol  We see the "Geo" like more in RTS,... wierd  If you have FPS title where you can modify polygone like RF, PLZ tell me!

Vidi44 refer to the webpage where XBOX 360 game list show the name of RF3, but it as removed... I think nothing is imposible, and i encourage Bill Gates to support Volition the same way they did for Halo with Bungie. Potenciel + Money = More money & recognition.
* It's easy to blame Bill Gates, when error happen, but think twice before critic him, because he doing alot for computer all over the word, and is a fact. Have also in mind, that our society are based on money first   
And im agree with snail_master, Geo in Half-Life 2,... WoW And im 100% sure that most of FPS will appreciate it, but what big this jOb is, it's another thing

To forgive my mistake, i did some research on Söldner, because it`s a sad story for a game that had a future. JoWood Production close Wings Simulations studio for financial reason and at the same time canceled Söldner 2 project.
GameSpot description;
Soldner features some neat innovations, but these original elements can't compensate for its fundamental stability, control, and gameplay problems. - Erik Wolpaw And i unfortunaly agree with this on the retail version, but maybe the lastest patch boOst the rating like DarkRx say; in Söldner page of mod database.
Project-Zero
Is the new developper that try to keep the Söldner community alive. They happear to be a serious team and count to bring Söldner to the next level. After Wings Simulations shut down, Project-Zero continue the development of the patch 33650. In the Faq section of the Official website they say they are the developper now. You can read more on them in mod database website.

The game is very not supported, known and appreciated, broke link is a standard almost everywhere, also in there official website. But the community can still play because Project-Zero work for it. Söldner have many weapons, vehicles in multiplayer and a tactical commander mode in (top view). I will retry the game with expansion full patched and i hope more people will follow me.

I didn`t try it alot in the past, but if my memory is goOd, Söldner have pre-destruction on buildings. (but they have done a great jOb) I dosen`t remember create hole in the ground like RF did but they demontrate the possibility in the official website I din`t see falling parts too, because you hit a pillar... After new testing, the ground moffification is a vextex manipulation, not a in-game polygons cutter like Red Faction Geo .

Söldner: Secret Wars & Reloaded have US version, but Marine Corps happear to be only in EU version. I don`t find any related information about Marine Corps US release. All news about this add-on is not accurate, event in JoWood website, Marine Corps dont happear in the France release section too. But the lastest patch include also Marine Corps. And for question C, sorry find it yourself.

Yeah I have never understood why newer games don't all err towards some kind of geo-mod. If I were developing a new game then I'd have a team working day and night to cme up with a similar mod. Take Battlefield 2 for instance, when there's airstrikes and what not, I think it woulkd be awesome to see some destruction on the landscape and make each game that little bit more different.

I think the same thing about Geo Technology, and is also the only reason why i do my mod on Red Faction. About Battlefield 2, im not sure we can implement this feature due to the priority of the concept, (Graphics, mid huge maps, Vehicles, Commander View, ...). I dont played it, but i think is the main reason why they cannot and maybe also because it's a time consuming feature.

So, there's a free version, but its almost 320 MB? Well, I would play it, however 320 would take me far beyond the download period to finish. At the most, I can barely squeeze 35MB a day, but I can't pause the download for longer than 5 minutes, so I'd never get to sleep, and no one'd get to use the phone. Thus, to appease all would mean to disconnect and download only at night. Problem is that my ISP cuts out during the night, so I can't download.
If anyone has broadband and would be willing to ship me a version, just look my name up on google. Yes, it's a major breach in security, but if you look someone's real name up online (and know their home state and relative area, and/or phone number (all easily socially-engineered from them)), you can find out almost everything about someone, for free (well, you have to pay for detailed criminal reports, however if you spent time, you could find it all out for free (take you a long, long time thought). So, if anyone knows my real name, find me and contact the nearest broadband person to my house (probably 200 miles away). Then ship a CD to me, and I'll pay you in gratitute (ie I'll say "thank you", then offer to do something for free for you later on (nothing criminal)).
Actually, why don't we set up a massive L4Y infrastructure of broadband people willing to donate their bandwidth to dialup people at L4Y? Then L4Y could be infinately spread throughout the world. Too bad no one'd be willing (postage for a CD is around a 0.50 US, depending on thickness of case and all that, not to mention packaging, etc). Either that or we could have this as part of Gold. All Gold people set up a network of people willing to redistribute files (it's the same thing as downloading, right? Most licenses I know of allow you to either archive a copy or give to your friends. Also, this would easily follow under "fair use" law). That way we could save time on L4Y bandwidth (if the file is huge and not a priority). Garner, you're a genius at law, so is this legal, or is there some way we can make this legal if it isn't? I think this would be a great asset to L4Y Gold, and I'd definately pay for Gold (in 6 months, when I'm 18 and can get a credit card). |

I did Googled you,Yahooe,d you and e-bay,ed you.There were alot of stuff i didint knew  And the other game that had fake "GEO" was Pariah.There were some buildings you could demolished But thats all  |

First, if you plan to give a chance to Söldner, i hardly suggest you to test the free addon between October 7 to 23.
Pariah have also little vertex modification on the ground?
To stay in the mood of destruction...
The Red Faction 3 webpage on XBOX 360 is still there
Everyone hope to have it on PC, lol , but if is on XBOX 360, for the first years of RF3, i think it will stay exclusive. The only thing i hope, is to see it later on PC!!!  |

Yes, I have quite the legacy. However, the French pages aren't me. Basically, L4Y and the other gaming sites -99% sure they're all me. If you searched my real name <classified -major privacy breech>, you'd find a good bit more about me (although not much more).
The funny thing is that this is what we learned in Online Classroom I. We actually had a series of reports where we found all this information about people. Sort of scary in a way, how by just entering one thread, you've become part of the Matrix-the worldwide information net that traps all information about you and holds it in a few, rather convinient places.
So, did you find out where I live (PM me, don't write it here)? I've gone to great lengths to conceal at least that, and I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have been able to find my real home (you might find a listing in Canada, hehe).
Anyway, RF3's page has been taken down. Until we know further, I'm going under the assumption MS canceled the project. How much would Soldner cost if I were to purchase it? |

Lol, do use button near the weapon locker close to the firerange. Like i say below, the free addon is our best bet to see a goOd Söldner. Dont count to see a nice game with just the demo...
For the price, it depend on where you want to buy it, you can pay a low price on eBay. And for the RF3 page on XBOX 360 website, is working at this moment...

Well, disappointing big event for Söldner, finally they decided to delay there mega patch till the end of the year. The "addon for free", just add more weapons and vehicles for now, but nothing else change. You can also download a new mappack of 4 levels. I’m not a big fan of Battlefield hither, but i will take a look for there “massive improvments”.
We never know!
I'm impatient to have some free time to put on Xmod. I am in contact with a company since the end of September which takes all my time! |
