Owkee I have been opening up levels from the Ism mod wanting to change them into DM maps, but also change alot in the level, but If i try to create a packfile i get the message: Error creating pack file. So i took some brushes out of the ism level and converted them into a group, started a new level and loaded the group into that one still i get the message error writing packfile if i try to make a packfile.
Does abyone know what this can be? or are the ISM levels protected in some sort of way?

Have you taken all the textures from the original map and put them in your texture folder?

Once you get the error, on the bottom left where it shows the stats or whatever, what does it say the error is? Usually it will say if it errored on a texture or whatever.
What I did was saved the level... Closed R.Ed. Then restart my computer.
After I opened R.ed., and my level. I Created the Packfile, and there you go.
It worked fine...
I dont really think it will help But try it.
It worked for me.

Create a texture with the same name and pop it in your textures folder. Then browse for that texture in your texture browser, select it and then press Select faces. It should highlight all the faces with that texture on them. if there are none then at least you won't get that error creating packfile anymore for that texture. There may however be other texture errors that you will have to fix in the same way
