I was working on a map in RED and i was trying to get some portals in to help it go faster cause its huge and the rebiuld geo was slowing down as i go. So today i was working on it and as i added like 6 brushes it got alot slowere for no reason not cause of the brushes i really donno how to fix this i lt like 14 brush no faces to fix nutin major.
now ever time i try to load the map RED quits on me i donno what to do.
RED Crashes when you have lots of brushes, I tried it once, it's just really not doable.
I presume that you have a lot of detail in your map, built out of brushes, try to delete some of the brushes that you think won't make much difference, and it should run alot smoother.

so 14 brushes in a 150x150 area considered big and alot with no faces or tiling? to bad i cant delete any brush there fore my map wont load yet causing the crash -.-
Whoa, only 14 brushes well that is very strange.
Are you using any custom textures in it? I've known to have troubles with them.
Of course RED is vey tempremental, I would suggest re-making the map, as 14 brushes shouldn't be too annoying to rebuild
Once when I was working in RED for a very long time, it began to slow down, not sure why it did that though. A quick restart of the computer fixed it as well.
Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

ight well i just started over cause i was needing to deleted a good bit of it cause i thought of better way to make it peace.
