I have this old computer from 1998 that for some reason won't show anything on the monitor... Like I push the on button and the computer sounds like its starting fine... like theres no error beeps or anything and u can hear the hdd thinking but for some reason nothing comes onto the screen... I know the monitor works, because i've used it with other computers... I tried replacing the ram, still nothing, I tried replacing the processor and still nothing, I tried replacing the video card and still nothing..... Does anyone have any other ideas why it might not be working right?

If you've tried replacing that much, why not go the whole hog and replace everything

If the monitor cable is as old as the pc check that it's ok - that no small furry animals have been chewing it. Other than that you'll have to wait for someone else to reply

Make sure no pins are bent on any of your components or plugs.. that means Processor, monitor cable (going both ways, into the screen and into the pc) 'cos that will lead to complications.

because replacing everything would mean I would have to spend money on parts and the comp isn't worth me spending money on All the parts I replaced I got free from other old computers
