THis is why you should but it when it comes out.PCGM(PcGamerMalaysia)wrote this as they tested the game.
"Back in 1999 an American wildlife survey team visited the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster to asses the impact of the accident on local flora and fauna.They were astonished by what they saw.  They expected to find blackened sccrubland,sick with radiation poisoning.What they actually found was a full blown eco-system thriving with wolves,eagels,black storks,rodents(including 69Shizn),wild boar and deer."How could this be?" asked 1 of the officials."Its simple really,"came the reply"Humans have left.Now the northern part of the Ukraine is the cleanest part of the nation.All it had to worry was radiation"
That idea,of a hostile place that teems with life,is coming to the PC.Stalkers creators,GSC Gameworld,describe it as a survival FPS.Its a game where your very existence is dependent on your resourcefulness and instinct to take down prey.TRacking down prey;scavenging food;searching for shelter;bandaging your own wounds and relieving day to day radiation poisoning.You play a hunter,living off 30 km,s of tainted land surrounding Chernobyl.Yiur a scrap metal merchant,earning a living selling radioactive trnkets from the cursed earth.
So begins the STALKER demonstration.Darren Williams,a buiseness type from THQ,is explaining some of the game,s background,while we take the keyboard and mouse.We,re going underground in a makeshift bomb shelter,gauging the mood of an arms dealer-your first contact in the game."Around 2006,"explains Darren,"something happens within the heart of the Chernobyl reactor.There's a bright light,swiftly followed by massive panic.Everyone thinks there's been a second explosion at the reactor.THe military quarintine the entire area in response.From that point until 2012(the game,s starting point)rumours spread about strange humans infesting the zone,alongside pockets of energy and unidentified artefacts.These artefacts have strange properties-some resist gravity,act as perpetual energy source.Goverments,scientists and collecters will pay extraodinary amount of money to get thier hands in those artefacts.A new group of people emerge,Stalkers,mercenaries who enter the zone in search of those artefacts."There is still 3 pages in 3 days this will be over  |

They tested a game which isn't even finished, and no one know when (or if) it will come out?
The latest newspost from GSC was back in february, when they said THQ had given them more time to work on the game's storyline.
The last news from THQ was that it will not be released untill sometime next summer. Aside from that, what has been shown so far of trailers and screenshots look good. |

Yep when its done  The game,s starting point is 2012 so maybe 2012 is the release date.In the meantime let us play F.E.A.R. |
