hi!
i run a dedicated server with rfasu4. can somebody tell me how a rcon holder can ban people and change maps.
Problem is that they cannot see the ip adresse by typing info in console.  k.s. |

well i think for rcon holders to ban people both the server and the rcon holder must be running lazy ban, to change levels take the rcon then type " rcon level dm-......." with no quotes, and a acually level filename  |

Tell them to get Lazy Ban 120
-----Description-----
This is a tiny application created by SubZ, that gives any rcon holder the ability to ban any player using any name by simply substituting the players name for a letter! The server does not need to be running this, just the rcon holder doing the banning. There are full details on Installation and Commands in the ReadMe included with the download. Version 2 has corrected a problem found in version 1.
Note: This does not work on French or German versions.
Instructions:
1. Extract the LazyBan.exe file to your RedFaction folder.
2. When you start a game, click on LazyBan.exe instead of rf.exe.
3. In the game bring down the console and request rcon.
4. Type "ban" (without the quotes) and press "Enter".
5. A list of players will appear with a letter beside each name.
6. Where it says "Pick a letter" just type the letter next to the player name that you want to ban and hit enter.

Sorry I don't. I wasn't aware that it didn't work on all version. The person who made the file "SubZ" is no longer playing Red Faction as far as I know. So I doubt that the file will ever be made to run on other version other than the US versions. That's just too bad for Red Faction and the people that run server down there. It would be nice if you all had the same benefits as we do here in the USA and other English speaking countries where our version are the same. |

The RFASU vote utility is still included in this release (remember it will only run on Windows XP or 2000)
The code has been altered to try and get it working on the German & French versions of Red Faction. However, because of the difficulty in being able to test this personally, I cannot guarantee that it will work on these versions.
I have also included a "Play Map" option that will allow RF Server Assist to load that level so you can actually play it (in single player mode).
There have been several bug fixes and optimizations in this release.
RF Server Assist 4 is the easiest and most stable way to run a dedicated Red Faction server.
This application requires the VBRun60sp5 runtime files to run correctly. For any of you that have previously installed one of my programs on your PC, you will not need to install these files again.
For those of you that need to install these files, you can download VBRun60sp5.exe from: Microsoft

If you mean how do you ban and change maps in game useing rcon, u need to request the rcon first, then b4 everycommand u need to type rcon eg,
rcon level ctf05
or
rcon info
rcon ban player
Typing normal " level 05 or ban " wont work |

Lol if ur playing in a dedc server u cant ban normaly, u need to request the command from the server so u have to type
rcon
b4 every command like ban or kick |
