Yes there is, all you have to do is go here:

Donate to L4Y!

Once you donate at-least $50.00 dollars, you should be able to use download managers...You will know you are there once you see a little by your name when you post in the forums at this site.

The reason why they aren't allowed is because of bandwidth issues, as you may or may not know, it cost money to run a web site. It costs even more when you don't have the support of pop-up ads to help pay for the site. This is why there is a donate link at this site. Just in case you are wondering, this is a non-profit site. Probably not by choice. LOL But it costs Garner a ton of money to run this site, which most of the cost come from his own pocket, which seem to be developing holes since he doesn't live at home any more. Catch my drift?

frank he asked a way to resume the download. download resuming doesn't spend bandwith. It saves bandwith. If he can download the file once, he won't need to start the download, realize he can't finish and that he will have to start again latter when he has enough time.

Download Managers, regardless of whether they speed up the connection or just resume a download, don't work with the site unless your on L4Y Gold. Not sure how Garner has it rigged, but if you try, the download will time out.

Side effect of the queuing system actually... unintented but it works fairly well

You enter the queue, you get a download slot, you start to download.

Your download fails for some reason, you try to resume but because you're not in the queue the download queue will stop you getting the file because you're not registered with it.

Now Opera seems to work because it passes the whole URL back to the server when you try to resume - this means that as long as the server doesn't think you've already finished the file the download server will recognise you and the file as someone who is currently has a download slot and voila... you're back in.

This doesn't work if the server thinks you've finished the file already because it'll wipe you out then and give the download spot to someone else.

Any download manager/browser can resume... as long as you requeue back up on the same file to get a download spot. When you get offered the file your download manager will probably prompt if you wish to resume the file instead of overwriting it.

L4YGold means you dont have to even enter the queue - your requests for downloads are met immediately. So you can resume, have multiple threads and most importantly... no queuing.
