I dowloaded cinema mod and first of all when i open it windows doesnt know what kind of file it is, secondly when i copy and paste it to C/Program Files/Rockstar Games/Max Payne 2 it doesnt come up as a mod file in the menu thing. Whats up with this? Can anyone help me (i know i am not the best with computers so go easy on me) |

alright, make sure its a .mp2m file. (that means its a max payne 2 mod)
then, put it in your max payne folder. (Whereever it is)
Then, start max payne 2. A pop-up box should appear. It allows you to change your graphic setting and such. Look to the bottom of the menu. You see a pull-down window? Thats where you choose what mod you want to play (if any at all). Use the pull-down window, choose the mod, then select play. |

Thats the problem the one that i downloaded from the site ISNT a mp2m file. and i know about the max payne window and how to choose mods, messed up thing is the cinema 2.0 mod i downloaded from here doesnt work and i cant find cinema mod 2.0 to download anywhere else! |

If it's not a .mp2m file then you can't play it, simple as that.
What type of file is it? |

YOU SEE I DOWNLOADED THE FILE FROM THIS SITE L4Y ITSELF! Thats what i mean! How can so many other ppl who have downloaded cinema mod 2.0 from here have it as a mp2m but for me it isnt? Where else could i download it from?
PS. Windows doesnt know what it is it just comes up as unknown file type (btw i have downloaded plenty of mods from here but for some reason cinema 2.0 doesnt work!) |

Ok i'll admit i did bite your head off there...BUT you havent told me why it windows say its a unkown file type from downloading off L4Y's site and no other site has cinema mod 2.0 for some reason so please TELL ME another site to download it. |

I lloked around various sites trying to find a working version so I could replace it here. So far I've had no luck. Not even the official homepage has 2.0. |

UPDATE: I have fixed the problem! I just had to make the file winrar and then unzip all the contents into my max payne folder, but thx anyway for the help everyone you guys are great! |

okay, good job on fixing it and all, but seriously. There was..hold on.. 2 post asking you what file type the mod was, and all you did was complain on how windows does not recgonize it. Seriously, read out posts next time, so that we can help you  |

You see thats the problem, i didn't know what file type it is because windows says its unknown. Did you ever think about that? How do i know the file type when windows says its an unknown file type (i had to select how to open it!) so surely you cant expect me to know. |

Well the best way to solve that is to use some common sense. All the MP2 mods are either in .zip or .rar archives.
You got there in the end but really you should have tried that first before posting. |
