ok im not sure whats going on buy i have a linksys wireless g router and i have problems with servers. one moment i can run one with no problems but the next i cant, plus i used to be able to use the router ip to get into the router for some reason it dont work anymore either.; any help would be great i want to have my own server really bad

Let me ask you this. id your server PCs internal IP address still the same. It might have changed on you will you had the PC off. It happens when you don't make them static. I know I have to check them from time to time to make sure that I have the correct ports forward.

To find out what your internal do this:

1. click the start button
2. type in cmd
3. On the black window that pops up type in ipconfig

You internal IP should be 192.168.1.XX. Male sure that you have the right computer port forward. That's all I could think of at this moment. It's 12:30 AM and I am off to bed.

Yes, the lease time for the Linksys is 1 day I think. That means your IP addresses can change every day, which means your port forwarding won't work anymore. (Since it is linked to your IP address). You need to make your server a static IP. I could tell you how to do it, but it might be much easier to just search for how to do it.

Yes. nitro showed me how to do it. Maybe if I get sometime I can do a tutoria...maybe. Then again I did post the link on how do do it.
