What router do you have exactly ?

Without knowing that I cannot answer your question fully but....

Check here first Port forward - Slect your router - then select Half-life 2 and follow the insructions.

OR simply you need to forward / open the following ports in your router

27015 UDP
27015 TCP
27020 UDP

Make sure that if your router requires you to assign an LAN server address for the port/s that you use your current Lan IP address or its not gonna work

May be worth while actually looking at th elinks I posted for you ......

Anyway if you click here - this shows you how to forward ports on YOUR exact router to get HL2 working over the Internet to host servers.

LOL Genxer my search took me to another different page. It basically gives you the same information as the link that you posted but the page looks a bit different. BTW I did click on "his" router model incorrectly.

My link: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/BEFW11S4v4/Half_Life_2_Steam.htm
As you can see, I picked the wrong router as shown in the link.
